monthly round up: january 2018

The first month of the year is coming to an end. It was quite busy since I had a few dentist appointments and it’s kind of frustrating. But I hope everything will be alright soon. This post will be a little round-up of everything that’s happened this month. Let’s start.

music (k-pop)

There are a few songs that I really enjoyed this month. For those who don’t like k-pop - you might give it a try or just skip this part. I’m sorry - not sorry ^^

JBJ had a comeback with an amazing song. Another group I added to my list. This comeback is different from their debut concept but I really like it and the colors are beautiful as well as the title track 너는 나의 꽃이야 which means „You are my flower“. This song makes me smile every time.

Just last week, SM Entertainment released Jonghyun's last album. For those who are not familiar with him - he is a part of the Group Shinee, which debuted in 2008. He suffered from depression a very long time. In December last year, he committed suicide. It was a shock to a lot of people, including me. I saw a lot of videos with Shinee and Jonghyun and he always seemed so happy, it makes me so sad to know that someone is suffering so much to make such a decision. In the end of 2017, he was working on a solo comeback this january - everything was finished - the songs, the music video. Together with his family, the label decided to release his last album called Poet / Artist and I am really happy with this decision. It’s the last gift from Jonghyun to his fans.

종현아, 소고했어요. 좋은 음악을 만들어줘서 고마워요! I hope you are well now! You will be remembered.

Some more songs I really liked this month:

bullet journal spreads

New year - new bullet journal. Do you use a planner? What kind of system did you choose this time? As you may know from my previous post I use a Muji notebook as my bullet journal this year and I am still really happy about it. Every Sunday I will post my finished week on Instagram but I wanted to do a little round-up here on my blog so we can see them all at once. I really like how they look at the end.

korean journal

One of my goals for this year is to write a korean journal and I am happy that I already filled it with some entries. So far it goes really well and I am really curious how it will look at the end of the year. If you want to know more about my korean journal, the routine or ideas, please let me know and I can write a post about it.

Let's talk about your month. Have you made new years resolutions and how are they going? What is your favorite song of the month? Something amazing or bad happened and you want to talk about it? I am always here.
